Title: NocoDB 2026.09.0 - NocoDB is now a Claude Connector, and our MCP server went from 11 tools to 149

Body:

Hey r/NocoDB,

2026.09.0 is out. Quick rundown of what's in it:

1. NocoDB in Claude Connectors

You can now connect a base to Claude from the connectors directory rather than adding the MCP URL manually. Once connected, Claude can use every MCP tool the connecting user's role allows.

2. 1200% more MCP tools

The MCP server has gone from 11 tools to 149, covering the whole workspace instead of only records. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client can now build in NocoDB: stand up a table with its fields and views, wire a workflow to a webhook, assemble an interface page, or lock down permissions, all in one conversation.

Tools span tables, fields, views, filters, sorts, workflows, interfaces, dashboards, widgets, scripts, documents, webhooks, comments, permissions, Record-Level Security, row coloring, folders, members, and CSV import and export.

Each one wraps the same service as its REST API, so validation, permissions, and audit are identical, and every call respects the caller's role: viewers read, editors write, creators change schema. An agent cannot do anything the person behind it could not do in the UI.

3. Rich Text Emails in Workflows

Workflow emails can be formatted now. The Send Email, SMTP, Gmail, and Outlook nodes share a rich text editor that supports headings, text styling, lists, colors, and links with custom anchor text. Workflow variables can be inserted anywhere in the body.

4. Buttons across interface pages

Buttons can be placed on table page headers, record review toolbars, dashboard group headers, and field groups inside a record sheet. Page-level buttons run an automation without a record, and "Go to interface page" can open a page in any interface in the base.

5. Drag and drop in List View

Records in List View can be dragged across the hierarchy: drop one onto another to nest it, or onto a different parent to move it there. Sub-records travel with their parent, and the underlying links are updated for you.

6. Also shipped

Inline creation of a linked record field where a List View level needs one, $now() and $dateAdd() date helpers in workflow expressions, the optimized Kanban board as the default everywhere including the Community Edition, streamed Excel exports so very large tables download reliably, and task progress in long documents.

7. Heads-up for integrations

Still planned for an upcoming release: API datetime values on PostgreSQL and SQLite deployments will move from second to millisecond precision (2026-07-25 12:34:56+00:00 becomes 2026-07-25 12:34:56.000+00:00), across REST responses, webhook payloads, and exports. Tolerant ISO 8601 parsers are unaffected; strict format strings may need updating. MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle keep second precision.

Plus a long list of fixes across nested lookups, syncs, interfaces, document checklists, and MCP, and security hardening for self-hosted deployments.
