1/ NocoDB 2026.08.0 ships today.
The headline: Interfaces. Build custom, easy-to-use apps on top of your base data, so each audience gets exactly the data and actions they need.
2/ Interfaces (beta).
Instead of handing everyone the full base with all its tables, views, and configuration, you design focused pages: a review queue for approvers, a dashboard for leadership, a form for field teams, or a full internal tool that combines all of them.
Your base stays the single source of truth. What changes is how each group experiences it.
3/ Access is managed at the interface or page level.
People can be invited to an interface without any role in the base, so it's a safe way to open data up to clients, partners, or wider teams. Edits go to a draft; viewers keep seeing the last published version until you publish.
4/ Record-Level Security got dynamic.
A policy can now reference whoever is viewing the data: the current user, their email, their teams. One policy like "Assignee is the current user" now covers the whole workspace instead of one policy per person.
Policies can also filter on Created by and Last modified by.
5/ Grid quality of life:
- Shift+click a row checkbox to select everything between it and your last click
- Grouped views no longer reload on every cell edit
- Records stop appearing twice while scrolling
- Views full of QR codes stay fast
6/ New WEEKNUM formula: get the week of the year a date falls in, the way spreadsheets calculate it, with an optional first day of the week.
7/ Running self-hosted?
- Change the plan on your license yourself from your NocoDB account
- Turn on community edition display mode to hide paid feature badges on unlicensed instances
- New frame-protection headers across the app

Post B - Interface access
People can be invited to a NocoDB interface without any role in the base. They see the published app you designed, never the underlying tables, views, or configuration, which makes it a safe way to share data with clients, partners, and wider teams.
Post C - Dynamic security policies
Record-Level Security in NocoDB can now reference whoever is viewing the data. Instead of writing one policy per person, write "Assignee is the current user" once and it covers the whole workspace. Policies can reference the current user's ID, email, name, or teams, and can filter on Created by and Last modified by.
Post D - Self-service plan changes
Self-hosted NocoDB licenses can now change plan without going through sales. Each license gets a detail page with its plan, billing period, editor count, renewal date, and invoices. Upgrades apply immediately with prorated billing; downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period and can be reverted until then.
