Title: NocoDB 2026.07.0 - Calendar Sync (Google, Outlook, CalDAV), image annotations, a workflow comment trigger, calendar event themes, and more
Body:
Hey r/NocoDB,
2026.07.0 is out. Quick rundown of what's in it:
1. Calendar Sync
Connect Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, or any CalDAV server (Apple iCloud, Fastmail, Nextcloud, and others) from the new Calendar category in the App Sync wizard. NocoDB creates a read-only Event table that stays up to date on its own and sets up a colour-coded Calendar view on the first sync. Pick a calendar and a date window, and your events become data you can query, chart, and join with the rest of your workspace.
2. Image annotations
Comments can now point at an exact spot on an image. Open an image in the attachment viewer, drop a pin or drag a rectangle, and leave your comment; annotations are labelled, and replies thread underneath. Great for design feedback, inspection photos, and product shots.
3. Workflow comment trigger
A new "When comment changes" trigger runs a workflow when a comment is added, edited, deleted, resolved, or reopened. Narrow it to specific comment events or to comments that mention particular people, and use the comment, its author, and mentions in later steps. Webhooks can fire on the same comment events too.
4. Comments level up
Attach files to comments (from the picker, pasted, or dropped in), and the comment length limit went from 3,000 to 10,000 characters.
5. Calendar upgrades
Five event themes (Bordered, Dot, Solid, Minimal, Pill), a custom timescale that shows any number of days or weeks from one to six, iCalendar (.ics) export, and calendars that render and navigate properly on phones.
6. Formula and Lookup upgrades
New MD5, SHA256, and SHA512 hash functions, DATETIME_FORMAT for localized date text, and Lookup fields that can sort their values and show only the first or last few.
Also shipped: Persian (Jalali) calendar support in Date fields, skip unwanted sheets when importing Excel, map unmatched import columns to brand-new fields, Lookup-driven form conditions, field descriptions in the expanded record, alphabetized Multi Select cell values, and unpadded dates like 5/5/2026 no longer being silently dropped.
