Single Line Text

The Single line text field stores short, freeform text values. Use it for entries such as names, titles, tags or labels. It is the most frequently used field type for simple text in a structured format. For longer text or multiple lines, use the Long text field.

Create a Single line text field

1. Click the + icon next to the last field in your table.
2. Enter a name for the field.
3. Select Single line text from the list of field types.
4. (Optional) Set a default value for the field.
5. (Optional) Add a description.
6. Click Save Field. NocoDB adds the field to your table.
