Tabs ☁
Use tabs to put content into many panels in a single block, and switch between them. Each tab can hold any type of content (text, lists, code blocks, images, tables, and more). Use tabs to group related information and keep your document tidy.

Insert Tabs
- In the editor, type
/tabs. - From the slash command menu, select Tabs.

NocoDocs inserts a tabs block with three default tabs: Tab 1, Tab 2, and Tab 3.

Switch Between Tabs
To show a tab, click its button in the header bar. Only the content of the active tab is visible.
Add a Tab
- Hover over the tab header area. The
+button shows at the end of the tab bar. - Click
+. A new tab is added.

Rename a Tab
- Click the active tab. The menu opens.
- Select Rename.
- Type the new name (up to 50 characters).
- To confirm, press
Enter. To cancel, pressEscape.

Delete a Tab
- Click the active tab. The menu opens.
- Select Delete.

If you delete the only tab in the block, NocoDocs removes the entire tabs block.
Reorder Tabs
Drag and drop tab buttons to change their order:
- Click and hold a tab.
- Drag it to the new position. An indicator shows where the tab will go.
Delete the Entire Tabs Block
- Click the empty area of the tab header, outside the tab buttons. The entire tabs block is selected.
- Press
BackspaceorDelete. The tabs block is removed.

Adding Content to Tabs
Each tab is a separate editor area. You can add any block type in a tab: headings, lists, images, code blocks, tables, embeds, and more. Use / slash commands in a tab the same as in other parts of the document.
