A complete import of your Airtable base to NocoDB within minutes

## Before you begin

To proceed, you need a valid Airtable [Personal Access Token](#create-personal-access-token) and [Shared Base ID / URL](#retrieve-share-base-id--url).

## Access import modal

There are two ways to open the **Import from Airtable** modal:

**From the base context menu:**

1. Click on the base name in the sidebar to open the context menu.
2. Select **Import data** → **Airtable Base**.

### Advanced settings

* **Import data** — When disabled, only the schema (tables and views) is imported without actual records.
* **Import secondary views** — When disabled, only the primary grid view for each table is imported.
* **Import rollup columns** — Toggle import of Rollup fields.
* **Import lookup columns** — Toggle import of Lookup fields.
* **Import attachment columns** — Toggle import of Attachment fields.
* **Import formula columns** — Formula field import is currently not supported (greyed out).

## Import report

The import does not stop at the first thing it cannot reproduce. Links, lookups, views, and each view's fields, filters, sorts and groups are imported one at a time, and anything that does not come across is recorded while the rest of the import carries on. Only a table that cannot be created at all ends the import.

When the import finishes it reports how many items were **skipped** (not imported at all), **approximated** (imported, but behaving differently from the Airtable original) and **failed** (attempted and rejected). **Download report** saves those items as a CSV with one row each, giving the kind, category, table, view, field, Airtable field type and the reason.

A long list is shortened in the report. The counts still cover every item, and the full list is in the import log under **Show Details**.

4. Select the base you want to import.
