Connect Claude Code to NocoDB with one command: add https://app.nocodb.com/mcp as an HTTP MCP server and sign in with OAuth, or use a token.

To connect Claude Code to NocoDB, add the NocoDB MCP server with one command and sign in to NocoDB in your browser.

## Connect with OAuth

1. Run this command in your terminal:

   ```shell
   claude mcp add --transport http nocodb https://app.nocodb.com/mcp
   ```

2. In Claude Code, run `/mcp`, select **nocodb**, and select **Authenticate**. The NocoDB authorization screen opens in your browser.

3. Sign in to NocoDB if it asks you to. Below [**Access**](/docs/mcp/connections#connection-tools-and-access), add the projects that Claude Code can reach. Below **Tools & Permissions**, allow the tools that it can call. Click **Authorize**.

`/mcp` then shows the server as connected. Try it: ask Claude Code to list your NocoDB workspaces and projects.

On a licensed self-hosted deployment, use `https://<your-nocodb-host>/mcp`. The URL must be the public HTTPS address of your instance, set in `NC_SITE_URL` (or `NC_PUBLIC_URL`).

## Connect with an MCP connection

Use an MCP connection when you want to pin Claude Code to the projects of one connection, or on the Community Edition, which has no OAuth.

1. [Create an MCP connection](/docs/mcp/connections#server-configuration-nocodb) and copy the command from its **Claude Code** tab.
2. Run the command in your terminal.
3. Run `claude mcp list`. Make sure that the server is connected.

```shell
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user NocoDB_MCP \
  https://your-domain.com/mcp/<ncId> \
  --header "x-api-key: <ncToken>"
```

The server name accepts only letters, digits, `_`, and `-`, so NocoDB replaces any other character in the endpoint name: an endpoint named `My Base MCP` appears as `My_Base_MCP`.

<Callout type="warning">
  The command contains your MCP token, which gives access to your NocoDB projects. Do not put it in source control.
</Callout>
